I would guess that this Blue Rose vanity case is 20's or 30's, based on the shape and style of lipstick and the 2 small compacts for rouge and powder. The long narrow pocket on one side no doubt was meant to hold a comb but the previous owner chose to put a hanky there. It is 4 1/2 inches wide, blue leatherette with a snap and lined with beige faille. Outside is in excellent condition but lining shows a bit of wear and a lipstick stain. Silver & blue cases still have a good mirror and soiled puffs marked "Lanchere." Just discovered: a blue tab that pulls up a 3 1/2 x 1 1/4 inch mirror which is in poor condition - use the ones in the compacts!
